01Tooth extraction
We only extract when a tooth can't be saved, harms its neighbours, or orthodontics requires it. Curved roots, broken or deeply buried teeth make it more complex.
02Wisdom teeth
Wisdom teeth are the third, back-most molars. They often can't come through or grow crooked, causing repeated gum infections and decay in the neighbouring tooth. The deeper they are, the more complex the surgery.
※ A CT scan is usually taken first to check the roots and nerve.
03Aftercare
What to do after an extraction
- Bite firmly on the gauze for 30–40 minutes
- For 24 hours: don't brush the area, rinse, spit or use a straw
- Eat soft, lukewarm food on the day
- Cold packs for 48 hours, then warm packs
- No smoking, alcohol or hard exercise for a few days
- Contact us if bleeding won't stop, pain is severe or you have a fever
